Malgieri was interviewed by Americano Media on the European Commission’s decision against Tik Tok

On 24 February, Gianclaudio Malgieri was interviewed by the US radio program “Tech-Tok Shorts” of Americano Media, one of the main Spanish-speaking media channels in the US.

The journalist Pablo Quiroga asked about the decision of the European Commission to forbid all high-level officers to instal and use Tik Tok on their devices due to risks to privacy and security (even national security, considering the sensitive information processed by the devices of European Institutions’ officers) that TikTok might produce.

Malgieri replied that the next step should be to protect all citizens and consumers. If the European Commission has doubts about the security and lawfulness of an app, the precautions should involve not only officers but also vulnerable individuals.
